Mobile/Transporting/Moving VHT device between treatment rooms
Tip and pearls of moving VHT device from room to room
At the end of a treatment if the device needs to be moved to another treatment room, power off the device and unplug and wrap power cord around handle to prevent trip hazard. Disassemble disposable kit and throw away. Leave vaporizer docked on equipment module for transport. If possible, locate white cap for vaporizer chimney. Collapse the treatment pole by pressing in the black button at the hinge to a closed position. Ensure both metal latches on the side of the device are locked in place. If latches aren't secured, flip up latch from the basin and locate equipment tab then push latch down until there is an audible snap/lock. Ensure all casters are unlocked. Transport device as soon as previous treatment is completed to next scheduled patient room. Safely move device with caution over door saddles (rubber bump at entryway). Once device is placed in patient room, lock caster wheels, plug in and power on. Check screen for VHT status (system ready, measuring level, preparing vaporizer, add fluid, or install vaporizer). System ready means device is ready to begin treatment. Measuring level means device is checking vaporizer reservoir solution level. Preparing vaporizer means device is adding solution into the vaporizer bowl. Add fluid means to add 250mL of McKesson sterile water in to blue cap. Install vaporizer means the vaporizer is not docked/placed on correctly or potential connection issue.
